    Community Use of School Facilities

    The Superintendent recommends approval of the following:

    Scout Requests:

    • Brownie Troop #2014 (Linda Wimberg) has requested the use of the Smithville School cafeteria for meetings on the first and third Wednesday of each month beginning September 15, 2004 through June 8, 2005 from 3:30 - 5:30pm.

    • Brownie Troop #2556 (Stacy Snavely) has requested the use of Roland Rogers cafeteria every Tuesday evening beginning October 5, 2004 through June 7, 2005 from 6:30 to 8:00pm.

    • Girl Scout Troop #5663 (Janet Majcher) has requested the use of the Roland Rogers cafeteria the first and third Wednesday of each month beginning October 5, 2004 through June 1, 2005 from 6:00 to 8:00pm.

    • Brownie Troop #2707 (Brenda Droyd) has requested the use of the Arthur Rann cafeteria the first and third Wednesday of each month beginning September 22, 2004 through June 1, 2005 from 5:30 to 7:00pm

    • Junior Troop #5048 (Brenda Droyd) has requested the use of the Arthur Rann cafeteria the first and third Thursday each month beginning September 23, 2004 through June 2, 2005 from 3:15 to 4:45pm

    Basketball Request:

    • PAL has requested the use of the gymnasium and/or all purpose room at Arthur Rann, GTMS, Reeds Road, Roland Rogers, and Smithville for basketball, beginning October 25, 2004 through April 2, 2005. Monday through Friday (GTMS - Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday) from 6:00pm to 9:30pm and Saturdays from 9:00am to 5:00pm
      (Approval will be granted with the stipulation that PAL agrees to share the gymnasiums with other Galloway organizations requesting and receiving approval of use. Schedules will be worked out on mutual agreement. Also, PAL has agreed to pay the custodial fee of $19 an hour for any use of facilities when buildings are occupied on weekends. If another group is in the building, cost will be shared. If there is a school function in the building on the weekend, PAL will only be responsible for time used when school group is not occupying the building.)

    Volleyball Request:

    • PAL has requested the use of the GTMS gymnasium on Wednesday evenings for volleyball beginning October 27, 2004 through March 30, 2005 from 5:30 to 9:30pm.

    Other Request:

    • First Student Bus Company has requested the use of the GTMS cafetorium and two classrooms (C101 and C102) on Wednesday, August 18, 2004 from 8:00am to 1:00pm for their annual staff orientation.
