APPROVAL OF BUDGET
BE IT RESOLVED
to approve the proposed school district budget for the 2018-2019 School Year for submission to the Executive County Superintendent of Schools as follows:

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED to acknowledge that the 2018-2019 budget as described above results in a general fund tax levy of $ 32,557,191 and a debt service fund tax levy of $132,398.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED Pursuant to N.J.A.C. 6A:23A-7.3, budgeted travel expenses do not exceed $50,000.
Pursuant to N.J.A.C. 6A:23A-5.2(a), maximum dollar amounts for public relations and professional services have been established and are detailed in the appropriations section of the 2018-2019 budget.

D. CURRICULUM AND INSTRUCTION
The Superintendent recommends approval of the following resolutions:
1. Resolution to approve home instruction for the following students:

2. 8. Resolution to approve the Reeds Road Elementary School 4th grade students to walk to Absegami High School in Galloway, NJ to build birdhouses with the Advanced Shop students on May 17 and 18, 2018.
9. Resolution to approve Arthur Rann Elementary School 4th grade students to walk to Patriot Park in Galloway, NJ to conduct a park clean-up and plant flowers on May 18, 2018
10. Resolution to approve preschool students at Smithville Elementary School to travel to Pomona Preschool on May 24, 2018 to attend the Barnyard Friends assembly (Transportation provided courtesy Integrity Transportation at no cost to the district)

E. FINANCE AND SCHOOL OPERATIONS
The Superintendent recommends approval of the following resolutions for formal Board action, as recommended by Joy Nixon, School Business Administrator and the Finance Committee:

3. Resolution to accept the Board Secretary's monthly certification budgetary line item status for March 31, 2018 (Attachment E.6)
4. Pursuant to N.J.A.C. 6A:23A-16.1 0(c)4, the Galloway Board of Education certifies that as of March 31, 2018 after review of the secretary's monthly financial reports (appropriations section) and upon consultation with the appropriate district officials, that to the best of our knowledge, no major account or fund has been over expended in violation of N.J.A.C. 6A:23A-16.1 O(b) and there have been no changes in anticipated revenue sources and/or amounts so that sufficient funds are available to meet the district's financial obligations for the remainder of the fiscal year.

F. FACILITIES AND MAINTENANCE
. Informational Item:
First job site meeting was held on April 17, 2018 to discuss ATC and HVAC controls replacement and a report will be given by Chairperson Dase. The Superintendent recommends approval of the following resolutions for formal Board action, as recommended by Joy Nixon, School Business Administrator:
1. Resolution to approve the withdrawal from maintenance reserve account and transfer into the appropriate maintenance accounts:
WHEREAS N.J.A.C. 6A:23A-14.2 permits a Board of Education, by resolution, to withdraw such funds from the maintenance reserve account and appropriate into the required maintenance account lines at budget time or anytime during the year for use on required maintenance activities for a school facility, including the health and safety of pupils, employees, and visitors; and
WHEREAS, the aforementioned code authorizes the Board of Education to apply such funds to fund the following maintenance projects:

WHEREAS, the Galloway Township Board of Education has determined that $116,217 is available for such transfer;
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the Galloway Board of Education that it hereby authorizes the district's School Business Administrator to make these transfers to the required maintenance lines consistent with all applicable laws and regulations.

G. COMMUNITY USE OF SCHOOL FACILITIES
The Superintendent recommends approval of the following:
1. United States Police Canine Association (USPCA) requests the use of the gym, cafeteria, and various classrooms at GTMS to host a K-9 Training Seminar on Saturday, May 19,2018, 8:00 am - 4:00 pm
