1. Resolution to accept the letter of intent to retire from Julie Fields, 12 month secretary at Smithville Elementary School, with regret, effective July 1, 2013. Ms. Fields has been employed by the Galloway Township School District for 22 years and her dedication and commitment to students and staff are appreciated by our entire school family.

1. Resolution to approve Galloway Township Middle School URSA 8th grade students
to attend a year-end recognition luncheon on June 3, 2013 at Gourmet Italian Restaurant.
(Transportation - bus donated by Integrity.)

2. Resolution to approve Arthur Rann Elementary School's 4th grade students to go to the
Annual Community Service Project at Veterans Park on May 17, 2013. (No cost)
3. Resolution to approve 12 Galloway Township Middle School students to go to the Oudoor
Ropes Course in Medford, NJ on May 14, 2013. Transportation funded by AtlantiCare grant.
4. Resolution to approve Galloway Township Middle School 8th grade students to go to
Outdoor World for their Annual Trip. Transportation funded by FSA.
5. Resolution to approve home instruction for Pomona pre-school student, R.O., special
education, for a total of 8 hours (provided during transition to Special Services School).

E. FINANCE AND SCHOOL OPERATIONS
The Superintendent recommends approval of the following resolutions for formal Board action, as recommended by Timothy Kelley, School Business Administrator:

1. Resolution authorizing the Galloway Township Public School District to enter into a cooperative pricing unit.

Resolution for Member Participation in a
Cooperative Pricing System

WHEREAS, N.J.S.A. 40a:11-11(5) authorizes contracting units to establish a Cooperative Pricing System and to enter into Cooperative Pricing Agreements for administration; and
WHEREAS, the Educational Information and Resource Center (EIRC), hereinafter referred to as the "Lead Agency" has offered voluntary participation in a Cooperative Pricing System for the purchase of goods and services;
WHEREAS, on May 13, 2013 the governing body of the Galloway Township Public School District, County of Atlantic, State of New Jersey duly considered participation in a Cooperative Pricing System for the provision and performance of goods and services;
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED as follows:

TITLE

This RESOLUTION shall be known and may be cited as the Cooperative Pricing Resolution of the Galloway Township Public School District

AUTHORITY

Pursuant to the provisions of N.J.S.A. 40A:11-11(5), Timothy E. Kelley, School Business Administrator, is hereby authorized to enter into a Cooperative Pricing Agreement with the Lead Agency.

CONTRACTING UNIT

The Lead Agency shall be responsible for complying with the provisions of the Local Public Contracts Law (N.J.S.A. 40A:11-1 et seq.) and all other provisions of the revised statutes of the State of New Jersey.

2. Resolution to approve the 2013-2014 contract for Action Janitorial to provide lawn / grounds keeping, alternate weeding, trimming and mulch at a cost of $7,200 and price per cut is $1,838 x 30 cuts for a total cost of $55,140. Account #11-000-262-420

2. Resolution to approve the New York Life Insurance Company as a life insurance provider to District employees at no cost to the district, for the 2013 - 2014 school year.
3. Resolution to approve Southern Regional Institute & ETTC for the 2013-2014 school year in the amount of $11,199.50. (Total amount for 2012 -2013 school year was $11,339.25) Account #11-000-223-890-00-00
4. Resolution for the 2013-2014 school year that in accordance with the requirements of the New Jersey Administrative Code, Section 6A:23-4.5(a)(20) that Galloway Board of Education agrees and consents YALE School, North, Inc. and YALE School, East, Inc. is not required to charge District students for any paid or reduced meals furnished by YALE to the students.
4. Resolution authoring the award of Non-Fair and Open Contracts:
WHEREAS, the Galloway Township Board of Education has a need to acquire services and supplies as a non-fair and open contract pursuant to the provisions of N.J.S.A. 19:44A-20.4 or 20.5 as appropriate; and,
WHEREAS, the purchasing agent, Timothy E. Kelley, has determined and certified in writing that the value of the acquisition will exceed $17,500; and,
WHEREAS, the anticipated term of this contract isfor the2012- 2013 school yearand may be extended by the Galloway Township Board of Education as approved;
WHEREAS, the following businesses as listed below have completed and submitted a Business Entity Disclosure Certification which certifies that businesses listed below have not made any reportable contributions to a political or candidate committee in the previous one year, and that the contract will prohibit the businesses as listed below from making any reportable contributions through the term of the contract, and
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Galloway Township Board of Education in the Township of Galloway authorizes the School Business Administrator to enter into a contract with the businesses as listed below as described herein; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Business Disclosure Entity Certification and the Determination of Value be placed on file.
