Substitutes Wanted!
Do you like working with students and staff? Would you like to earn extra money? Then we need you!!! The district is looking for substitutes in the following areas: substitute teachers (60 college credits required), substitute secretaries, substitute food service workers, and substitute custodians. If you are interested, please follow the steps below:

Fill out appropriate application below. No other paperwork is necessary until after you are interviewed.

Substitute Teachers AND Substitute Nurses
Step One: Seek and Obtain a Sponsor School District or Organization for Criminal History Record Clearance.
Step Two: Complete Criminal History Record Check Process
- Pay administrative fee(s) for the criminal history background clearance and print out the IdentoGO New Jersey Universal Fingerprint Form from the New Jersey Department of Education (NJDOE) Office of Student Protection webpage ($11);
- Go to the Identogo Website to schedule an appointment and pay fingerprinting fees ($66.05 for those who have never been fingerprinted in New Jersey, or $29.75 if previously printed through the NJDOE subsequent to March 2003).
- Attend the scheduled appointment time and get fingerprinted. Make sure to bring the following to your scheduled appointment: o Picture Identification (ID) Note: Foreign passports will no longer be accepted as proof of identification;
You will need the following information: County Code: 01 and District Code: 1690
Step Three: Apply for the Substitute Credential Online
Apply online through the The New Jersey Educator Certification system.
When you create an account, click on "apply for a new certificate" at the top, then select Credentialed Application from the options. If you are applying for a substitute teacher's permit, you will select either "Instructional Substitute (60 credit)" or "Instructional Substitute (30 credit)", depending on which you qualify for.

Step Five: Provide copies of Drivers License, Social Security Card and/or Passport, Criminal Clearance approval
Step Six: Provide proof of Physical and Current Mantoux Test

Substitute Secretaries

Step Three: Provide copies of Drivers License, Social Security Card and/or Passport, Criminal Clearance approval
Step Four: Provide proof of Physical and Current Mantoux Test
PLEASE NOTE: ALL applications for employment include the following: GTPS Application for Employment; Sexual Misconduct/Abuse Disclosure; Critical Policies Sign-off, and Harassment, Intimidation & Bullying (HIB) Sign-off.
All applications must be COMPLETED IN FULL before returning to Human Resources.
