APPROVAL OF BUDGET

BE IT RESOLVED The Board of Education in the Township of Galloway, in the County of Atlantic, in the State of New Jersey adopts the school district budget for the 2014-2015 School Year as follows:

Pursuant to N.J.A.C. 6A:23A-7.3, budgeted travel expenses do not exceed $95,000.

Pursuant to N.J.A.C. 6A:23A-5.2(a), maximum dollar amounts for public relations and professional services have been established and are detailed in the appropriations section of the 2014-2015 budget.

The following increases are included from the budget introduced on March 17, 2014 and submitted to the Executive County Superintendent on March 20, 2014:

AS REQUIRED by N.J.A.C. 6A:23A-10.3(b), the 2013-2014 budget includes the use of banked cap. The 2014-2015 budget includes utilizing banked cap in the amount of $450,000. The need for this banked cap is to offset increases in out of district tuition, health care costs, PARCC implementation costs, and facilities costs. These costs cannot be deferred or incrementally completed over an extended period of time and must be completed by the end of the budget year.

Pursuant to N.J.A.C. 6:20-2.13(e), the Galloway Board of Education certifies that as of March 31, 2014 after review of the secretary's monthly financial reports (appropriations section) and upon consultation with the appropriate district officials, that to the best of our knowledge, no major account or fund has been over expended in violation of N.J.A.C. 6:20-2.13(b) and there have been no changes in anticipated revenue sources and/or amounts so that sufficient funds are available to meet the district's financial obligations for the remainder of the fiscal year.
