1. Resolution to accept the letter of intent to retire from Joy Booye, ten month secretary
at Smithville Elementary School, with regret, effective July 1, 2013. Ms. Booye has
been employed by the Galloway School District for 25 years and her dedication
and commitment to students and staff are appreciated by our entire school family.

D. CURRICULUM AND INSTRUCTION

Informational Item
10. The Galloway Township Public Schools are participating in a grant application being
developed by the Richard Stockton College in partnership with schools throughout the
country. If the grant is awarded, the Atlantic County Common Core Collaborative will be
formed and will begin work in the summer. (Attachment D.1)

H. COMMUNITY USE OF SCHOOL FACILITIES
The Superintendent recommends approval of the following requests:

  1. GTAA football has requested the use of the Roland Rogers gymnasium for drill practice on Tuesday, March 26, 2013 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
    (Administrative approval was granted prior to Board meeting.)
  2. PAL has requested the use of the Reeds Road gymnasium on Tuesday and Thursday evenings from April 2, 2013 through April 25, 2013 from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. for basketball.
    (Administrative approval was granted for dates prior to Board meeting.)
  3. The Atlantic County Hammerheads baseball team has requested the use of one of the
    district's fields on Thursdays from April 18, 2013 through June 27, 2013 from 5:00 p.m. to
    7:00 p.m.
    (The Coach has been advised to contact Beth Stasuk, Galloway Community Services Director, for field usage. The majority of players are Galloway Township residents.)
  4. The Mainland Baptist Church has requested the use of the Reeds Road gymnasium on the following Wednesdays: April 17, 24, May 1, 8, 15, 22, 29, June 12, 19, 2013 from 7:00 p.m.
